Our Achivement

National Award Winning Station

According to a research by UNESCO, around 32 crores students in India were affected academically due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, all the students in India could not participate in remote learning and more than 50% students had no access to smart phones & internet. Radio Vishwas came up with an initiative 'Shikshan Sarvansathi' (Education for all) to provide free education to students from 3* to 10® grade which consisted of audio lectures aired through Radio Vishwas 90.8 CRS and made it accessible to all the students who study in ZP (Zilla Parishad) and Nashik Municipal schools (NMC). This was done with the help of 150 teachers who recorded lectures in Radio Vishwas studio and were aired according to the slots allocated to each subject. As of result of this, teachers in Adivasi tehsil of Igatpuri collaborated to provide 451 FM's (with USB, Bluetooth, high-end speakers, radio) to the students; and recorded lectures from 'Shikshan Sarvansathi' (Education for All) were utilized for student's learning.

The Government of India instituted the National Community Radio Awards to promote better programming in Community Radio and encourage Community Radio Stations to generate programmes in the interest of local community. The National Community Radio Awards are given to those Community Radio Stations who have done exemplary work in the field of Community Radio Broadcasting through Community Centric Programmes. The various categories of awards have worked as a nudge for the Community Radios to develop programmes on various themes. The awards have promoted a culture of sustainability, innovation and citizen-participation. Therefore, Radio Vishwas received 2 National Awards in the thematic category (Education for All) and the most Sustainable Community Radio Station in the year 2021 under the sustainability award category. A ceremony was held at IMC, New Delhi where Radio Vishwas was felicitated by Hon. Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.
